Hi,

I've been testing the software for 2 weeks now and it does everything I need...

Except I had to re-install as mynzbtv.exe was always crashing, but since I reinstalled it, it's fine now.

1 Request I would have is for the possibility to have different TV searches ( Like movies ) so that I can download specifics tv shows to certain folders ( Like shows I watch vs those my wife watches.)

I made a newzbin search for "post, TV, heroes, german" and added it in MyNZBTV
search/?go=1&ss=123456&fpn=p
But when i switch to that view it seems to show all german shows and not just heroes.

Is it possbile to differentiate the Languages for some Series?

Unfortunately my rename routine for cleaning up the show names depends on the fact that all the shows in the subfolder it is working on are actual shows for that series only. It then looks for season/episode numbers and then renames each show to the folder/show name they are contained in plus adds the season/episode info to that. This would not work if you have every show in a single folder. The reason for all this is due to the fact that I have no idea what is going to come out of the archive but I do control where it decompresses to and can guarantee what shows are in a given subfolder so that I could generalize the rename routine and not actually care about variations in the file names from show to show.

As for the search problem I have set up a similar search and haven't seen a problem so far but I will give it a week or so to see if Newzbin sometimes messes up the searches somehow.

After a bit I started seeing German language shows showing up in my new list from the general TV section. It seems that once you start searching for those types of shows in Newzbin that it changes your default parameters for the main TV search which just looks for the latest complete shows in general. You can modify that search to be more specific from the Searches screen. Let me know if any one figures out why Newzbin does this and what we can change to fix it.

i now added a.b.tv.deutsch where nearly all of the german versions are posted to. So for these shows i just have to check that i dont take newzbin posts.

I think i found two minor bugs.
When i select multiple rejects, most of the time after i click the 3rd or 4th some of the previous checkmarks vanish. Firefox 2.0.0.9 not sure if also with IE7

When you enter a Series with a capital first Letter there will be 2 entires in the showlist for this Letter.
Example: Bones and battlestar_galactica
there will be "1 2 3 B b e h"

TIPS:
To fill the accepted shows with the episodes you have already seen, you have to do some typing to exclude them. I created a table where you can easily cut'n'paste right until the actual episode. i hope some might find that usefull.

lets say house is at 4x07 right now so you want only newer episodes.
look for 4x07 and copy the line until that point (With a trailing "|")
that would be: 1|2|3|4x01|4x02|4x03|4x04|4x05|4x06|4x07|
now just paste it into MyNZBTV

I didnt find a reference to the syntax of the episodes in MyNZBTV so i'll try to explain here what i think it is. (its not needed if you do everything with the GUI but i find it nice to understand it)

Every show you accept or reject is saved in the apropriate list.
Enclosed in brackes [] and spaces replaced by _  [Show_name] or [the_unit]
to group shows that are reported by different names you write the second name behind the first
[1st_showname][2nd_showname] or ['til_death][til_death]

marking seasons as done: 1|
marking episdes as done: 2x05|
two questions?
Is the trailing | a must?
can you say 2x01-2x10|

As it's slow/uncomfortable to set newbin to 200 or even 500 Posts per Page i'm thinking of ways to have both. MyNZBTV reaching far back and browsing newzbin to be quick.

I created more Searches in MyNZBTV for the following sites in the TV Category
browse/category/p/tv/?sort=date&order=desc&u_completions=1&page=2
browse/category/p/tv/?sort=date&order=desc&u_completions=1&page=3
browse/category/p/tv/?sort=date&order=desc&u_completions=1&page=4
browse/category/p/tv/?sort=date&order=desc&u_completions=1&page=5
to test i set the number of reports to 500 so that should get the newest 2500 TV Posts.
the query returned "my name is earl 1x01" from which the newest is 5 days old!!
So now you can set newzbin to 50 or 100 results and just make more searches to go farther back.
i dont know if there are any downsides to this but i hope not. That might even become a new default setting as then you wouldnt have to worry about the users correctly configuring their Newzbin settings.

The Best Solution i think would be beeing able to query/search between certain dates.
browse/category/p/tv/?sort=date&order=desc&u_completions=1&since=11.13.2007-09:30
This way MyNZBTV could remember when it did the last search and always query what is new to it.
i'll propose that in the other forum.

before the above, i thought about deleting the search within the whole category and replace it with a search that filters out unwanted categories, etc.
Every category except: anim,children,docu,fam,musical,sport,reality,romance,western
Format: unkn,divx,xvid,dvd,svcd,vcd
max Size 2gb, language eng
This way i got much more (for me) relevant results. It filtered 43 out of the first 100 results.
Pro: the e.g. 100 returned reports reach farther back, less shows you have to reject, no big files offered when you prefer small divx's
Con: You might miss things because they fall within a category or there are only post in high quality!!

anyway I think the 1st solution with the multiple pages (which also applies to the searches) is the best solution.

my very first try for a solution:
I opened a post in "general Newzbin" to ask if itcould be made possible to supply the wanted number of posts to a query and override the profile setting for that specific query. But it does not seem like that could be the solution soon.

I dont think you can compare the to apps.. MYNZBTV tool is a hole other thing than tvTAD looks like to be.

somehow i broke it so it stopped extracting the Files.
i see all the "decoded" messages and the "Par Check Successfull for" but its not extracting.
i monitored it with filemon and didnt see a call to the unrar.exe, is there a switch in the config i need to check?
Or is there a Logfile where i can see why its not working?

add it to the MYNZB, and select that search to DL til specifik folder..
