FYI, here are some screen shots showing what I mean by "cut off" in 120 DPI.

EDIT: Ignore 2nd screenshot.  Fixed in beta5.   ;D

Thanks.

When upgrading from beta4 to beta5, can I just replace the EXE file (and keep my current show settings) or do I need to replace everything and start clean (and re-add my shows)?

I did and it works fine...

Yeah, I just copied over all the new files to upgrade and it seems to work fine.

Open from tray works much better now.  Also, the cutoff problem in my 2nd screenshot is fixed in beta5, but the 1st screenshot issue is still there (countdown timer is cutoff slightly on the right).

Updates:
You should always be able to just overwrite the SabNXB.EXE AND the attributes.xml without losing your data!!

The archives i release will not have:
 - titles.xml
 - queue.xml

These are the 2 files containing the data specific to your shows.
You can back them up before update, shouldn't be too big. :)

"the cutoff problem in my 2nd screenshot is fixed in beta5, "

Great, that appears to have fixed itself after i added the Audio attributes. :)

"the 1st screenshot issue is still there (countdown timer is cutoff slightly on the right). "

Rrrrrrrright..  :o
I know what causes that, i fixed sized all my buttons because.
The timer was dictating the width of that button and it was resizing each time the time changes. (Every  second)
That was pretty annoying so i made it fixed.
Will have a think about how that can be solved

One bug so far in Beta5.

You can enter an EMPTY title using the 'change' option in the Titles popup menu.
Doing that results into crash at startup and at scanning.
So er.. don't do that :)

Already fixed, not serious enough to release a new version for that alone though.

I am going to use the show south park as an example. The show is on its 11th season, so I have it set up to grab the 11th season. For next year (i know thinking ahead) would I just rename season 11 to season 12 and clear all the downloaded flags? Are you working on the option to edit shows once they have been added? I know that is a not a high priority and might be a big feature, but is it on the table?

There are 3 modes of adding new titles.
These are called 'Add modes'.
Please see the listbox next to the ADD button.
You can click the link under the listbox to get an explanation about the selected 'Add mode'.

Basically what you want to do is:
 - Enter title: South park
 - Set seasons 12-12
 - Set episodes  1-12 (12 episodes per season for SP? Not sure)
 - Select attributes(If any)
 - Click Add

A window will appear.
Make sure you :
- check
  • Add missing Episodes/Seasons to selected existing titles.

- check
  • South Park in the list.

Then press OK and it will update the existing South park and add a season 12 without changing the already downloaded ones.

« Reply #27 on: October 16, 2007, 11:06:10 AM »

Great Program btw.
A few or more  suggestions/questions:

  • When adding two versions of the same show, it would make the overview easier I think to create two separate knots under the same show name knot or maybe a little comment after the show name like Lost (350MB) and Lost (1100MB).
  • Presenting the shows in alphabetical order is very important if you have more than 20 shows I think. Like suggested by someone else before
  • How does NZB TV handle proper or repack versions? Does it differentiate the episode only by its title or also by its nfo file or file size (excluding the pars of course)
  • It would also be nice to limit the newsgroup channel as well. I usually don't want to have the file from channels like a.b.superman, but rather only from a.b.multimedia or a.b.tv
  • It would be nice to see some more information about the decision process NZB TV is making. Like which newzbin posts it had to choose from and which one it has chosen. Or the nfo file name. The msgid would be nice to have, maybe under the Downloaded tag in the titles.xml file?
  • A default "Add Title" would be convinient to specify. I often forget to change the upper ep no. to 24 instead the default 12. And Right-Click -> "Edit" a season would make the editing process easier, as well
  • Maybe an import button to import Series from a text file in a csv format or something similar would be nice. Like: show_name,start_season,end_season,start_episode,end_episode,attribute,min_size,max_size,add_option for example
  • Some cream on top: When specifiing a certain show with attributes it would be great to be able to add a "fallback" type. Let's say I want to have the 720p version, but if it is not available after a week of the release it should download the hr version instead.

Sorry if the list got a bit long.

pwvliet & Soudlous
Both errors i think i already addressed in the version i am releasing now.
At least both messages look very familiar.

I just -seconds ago- released v1.01
Can i ask both of you to get that latsest version, v1.01?

If the problem persists then please let me have your TITLES.XML
That XML file contains all your titles.
