I have created a quick Vista Media Center plugin that reads newzbin rss feeds that have IMDB.com info in them and displays the cover image and some of the xml data.

I created this based off of the Snowflake example that comes with the mcml sdk sample code.

All the backend class's and code is done, it has a front end that works with SABNZB.  However the front end is not the best and needs improvement.  There are a few open source media projects on Google that could be used to improve the front page.

Wow... Sounds amazing.
I'm very interested in this (Although I've only got XP[32bit] installed at the moment).

Please excuse my ignorance but I'm baffled as to why you can't upload a few preview pics? (Aren't there a shit load of free & easily available places to do so?)

Well it runs pretty good and does what i want =)

only thing i noticed is that the SABNZBd status page doesnt do anything even though it can add nzb downloads no problem. Maybe because of the template i use? ill check it out later sometime.

I wonder if you ever thought about incorperating the tv section, using tvrage info? if not then you did not read this portion.. hehe

It's doing what I programmed it for.

The SAB page is only for showing status and to pause/unpause sab.

I have though of lots of other items that this could be used with.  Like you mentioned TV
-TV Rage
-Album Releases using allmedia
-games

I'm working on a few more items (like multiple rss feeds) then I will start to add things like a straight text rss reader as most of the programming logic is already done for it.

FYI, i have been starting to get a 404 error and it has been making it no longer work.... Kinda of depressing since i really like this Plugin. Let me know if you got any new updates you can share with me. Thanks.

OK i think i found a way to make that error not happen....

I changed my IMDB URL to be a little more specific originally it was only: imdb.com

TO      Report URL contains: http://www.imdb.com/title/

and so far so good... haven't got the error again yet... will post back if it do see it again.
